Blwyddyn 4 have had another busy week of learning and fun. They have enjoyed using the water tray in the classroom to practise measuring capacity using a variety of containers and different scales. We have talked about the conflict in Ukraine and we have created some beautiful collaged sunflowers to show our support for the people of Ukraine. In worship this week we created a class paper chain to show how we could care for God’s earth. In literacy we have been very busy writing our stories and we’re looking forward to changing them into a digital version to share with other classes. We have also planned, budgeted and placed an Asda order for food for our Mad Hatters Tea Party next week.
Next week we have lots of exciting activities planned and we will be doing some Easter craft.
In Numeracy we will be rounding numbers to the nearest 10/100/1000 we will also be learning to subtract using the column method. We will finish off our work on The Tudors by learning about crime and punishment and finding out about what life was like for children. In Cymraeg we will continue to practise our dialogues inviting a friend to a party. We will also write invitations in Welsh.
On Thursday we are expecting our food delivery from Asda. On Friday morning we will make a selection of party food ready for our Mad Hatters Tea party on Friday afternoon. At our party we will play card games and some party games.
- You will need to wear your PE kits on Wednesday
- On Friday you can come to school dressed in fancy dress or party clothes for the day (see invitation send out yesterday)
- Homework is converting between ml and l. It is set on Google Classroom unless you child has requested a paper copy. If you are completing work on Google Classroom using an iPad you will need to download the free Google Docs and Google Slides apps otherwise you will not be able to write on the documents and they will just display as a PDF.
Have a wonderful weekend, lets hope the sunshine returns soon!
