We have had a lovely day today celebrating the Kings Coronation. This morning we celebrated as a whole school by singing our coronation song, then we went outside to enjoy cakes and juice. This afternoon we have been speaking about King Charles using Welsh language and we have enjoyed some Coronation crafts.
Next week in maths we will be moving on to using the ladder method of multiplication to multiply two and three digit numbers. In literacy we will continue to read Charlotte’s Web and we will be editing and improving our expositions from this week.
We will also be having a go at creating our own animal themed animations as well as designing an animal with a moving part powered by pneumatics.
Thursday is values day and we will be focussing on the Value of Honesty. We will read the story of The Boy who Cried Wolf and thinking about the moral of the story.
PE next week will be swimming on Thursday. As it is another bank holiday we will also have a PE session on Friday afternoon. This will be outdoors and we will start to practice for sports day so please make sure you have suitable trainers and your PE kits on.
Homework- reading books are coming home today but there is no homework set so please enjoy the long weekend celebrating King Charles III Coronation.
Art Gallery- All classes have created a piece of art work to commemorate the coronation. Blwyddyn 4 have created murals linked to King Charles III work on saving the planet and his involvement with COP26. This art work will be on display in the school hall on Thursday after school so please visit if you can and have a look at our master pieces.
