Homework this week is a sheet on equivalent fractions. We have been learning about these in maths this week. Pupils have been using their knowledge of the times tables to simplify fractions and then checking their answers using a fraction wall. Please encourage them to use this method to have a go at home (there is a fraction wall on the top of the sheet).

Next week we will move on to decimals in maths, we will have a go at multiplying and dividing decimals and whole numbers to make decimals, we will also be converting between decimals and fractions. In literacy we will be making changes to Alice in Wonderland to create our own stories with the same plot. We will be adding in our own characters and writing exciting descriptions of the setting.  We will be finishing off our chairs by painting and decorating them then evaluating them against our final designs. In music we will be having a go at composing our own music to go with Alice falling down the rabbit hole. In humanities we will begin our work on rich and poor Tudors, we will start off with looking at the differences in the clothes between rich and poor. In our science work pupils will have the chance to choose an investigation question linked to magnetism and then plan and carry out the investigation.
