Year 4: Homework

This week in one of our class reader sessions we were revisiting the skill of writing a poem!
Mr Steele went over two different types of poem; acrostic where a letter represents a word or sentence and a rhyming poem. In the rhyming poem I showed pupils there were two sets of rhyming couplets, the 1st and 3rd line and the 2nd and 4th. This means that the end of these two lines rhymed with each other.
Your task is to write your own rhyming poem. It can be about whatever you like such as about your family or friends or even your favourite hobbies or interests. Please ask me in school if you need help to do this.
