Year 4: Curing Illness – Tudor Style!

Today we have been learning about Tudor health and medicine.

Ranging from the bizarre (buttered spiders, limbs being cut off) to plain daft (putting a frog in your throat!) we soon learned that the way the Tudors dealt when illness was very different to nowadays!

Pupils completed different activities linked to the different jobs in Tudor times, including  identifying herbs, making a Tudor potion and creating a herb mask to ward off unpleasant smells.

They all agreed medicine has come a long way!
