Year 3: The week ahead

For homework this week, I would like all pupils to double check that two of the activities on our Google Classroom are complete – the ‘Welcome to Year 3’ and ‘Homework – instructions’ tasks. It will be great if everyone is up-to-date with these tasks. If you have already done these ones, perhaps double check whether there are any other activities you have missed.
Next week, we will be looking at persuasive posters in Literacy. Last week on Google Classroom, we created posters for the healthy sandwiches that we designed. We will create posters to persuade people to buy ‘Mrs Twit’s Wormy Spaghetti.’
In Maths, we will be doing more work on halves, quarters and thirds. We will be doing lots of activities for our topic ‘Food, glorious food!’ too. We will find out about food that is eaten in different religious festivals. We will find out more about traditional foods of Wales – it has been lovely to see some of the recipes you wrote on our Google Classroom. We will also use our ICT skills to find information about wild animal diets and learning about how some animals are carnivores, some herbivores and some omnivores.
Please remember to come to school in your PE kits on Tuesday.
We hope that you have a lovely weekend.
