Year 3 have had a busy day today!
In maths this morning we were choosing the most effective method to solve the addition and subtraction sums, e.g. frog ‘counting on’ method, mentally, using a hundred square, column method.
We will continue practising this skill tomorrow.
For literacy we were hot seating characters from the Little Red Riding Hood Story (see pictures). They really enjoyed this. We discussed a lot about what makes a good question, e.g. needs to be open ended.
This afternoon in preparation for St David’s Day pupils were doing a piece of artwork based on a special Welsh sporting moment. They will finish this tomorrow.
A reminder for you to dress in red tomorrow for Dydd Dewi Sant (St David’s Day)
See you then!
