Your homework this week is to choose any country from anywhere in the world (please not Wales though as we have covered this already). It might even be somewhere you have been lucky enough to visit. Make a list of foods that the country is famous for. See what you can find out about foods that might be grown there. You could even find pictures of the different dishes – this homework task can be done on paper, but is on Google Classroom ready for you too (finding pictures and inserting might be easier this way). You don’t need to write too much at this stage, just a list or some notes will be fine, as we will be using it back in class.
Next week we will be finishing off our topic of ‘Food, glorious food!’ We will be writing about foods from different countries, using what you have found out at home to help us. We will also create some artwork using foods as our inspiration.
In Maths, we will be using our multiplication skills to help us with division problems, particularly dividing by 2, 5 and 10. Please keep going over your 2, 5 and 10 times tables at home as this will really help. If you feel confident with them, you could move on to 3s and 4s as well.
We will be pretending to be Mrs Twit and thinking back to the balloon flying incident! We will be writing a recount of the events, this time as Mrs Twit herself. We will be making sure that we include lots of past tense verbs and words that describe feelings.
Please remember reading books on Monday and PE kits on Tuesday.
Have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again on Monday morning.
