Year 3: Home learning update 15/6

Bore da pawb! Sut wyt ti heddiw?
I hope you are all well and have had a good weekend.
Here are some activities to start the week. Remember to keep trying your best and to ask for help by messaging on Google Classroom or Purple Mash if you need to.

Maths activity – This week we will be looking at different types of lines and shapes. This first activity is about identifying different types of lines. If using google classroom, there is a short video to help you and you can also complete the activity on there and hand it in. If not using google classroom, please use the link attached ‘Different Lines’ and use the photograph in the link to help you.
‘The Butterfly Lion’ – I have uploaded videos of the next  two chapters to our google classroom. Your activity is to write a letter and this can be found in google classroom as ‘Chapter 7 and 8.’
If you are not using Google Classroom, I would like you to write a letter, perhaps to someone you haven’t seen in a while. It could be a member of your family, a friend from school, or even me! Think about how to set the letter out correctly – you can use the WAGOLL below (What A Good One Looks Like) to help you. This is a friendly letter, to someone that you know. Write about what you have been up to recently and how you have been feeling.

Africa – for a fun dance activity, see if you can copy the traditional African dance moves in this video:
West African dance class at Point Park University.

See if you can find a picture of any of the following African musical instruments:

Djembe, thumb piano, shekere, kora.
Choose at least one to draw a picture of and label. If using Google Classroom, you can go to ‘African musical instruments’ and attach a photo of your work there. Alternatively, just keep you work on paper and in your folder.
Keep smiling and stay safe!
