Year 2 have worked incredibly hard this week. They have edited and improved their newspaper reports from before half term. They have also enjoyed listening to and then retelling the Story of the Lost Sheep to teach us about the importance of Perseverance. We have been practising our numerical thinking with some activities using shapes to represent numbers. We ended the week in Forest School on a minibeast hunt. The children recorded their findings on a tally chart and they will use these to create graphs on the iPads and Chrome Books.
Next week we are taking a break from our topic to celebrate Olympic Week. The children will be taking part in different sporting activities each day so they can wear sports clothes every day next week. Each class has chosen a country to study, year 2 are going to be learning about Greece. We have lots of fun activities planned!
Have a lovely weekend, see you next week for a week of sporting fun!
