This week we have been looking at irregular 2d shapes. We have sorted them into the correct boxes based on how many sides and vertices they had. We decided the word irregular was hard to remember so we have been using the word wonky shapes too!
We have been making our own advent wreaths to celebrate the countdown to Christmas. We have enjoyed decorating our Christmas tree at the start of the week and practising our performances. Today we had fun making Christingles, which we have brought home today.
Next week we will be videoing our Christmas performances and beginning our Christmas craft. We will also be looking at the Nativity story too.
Please remember there is no Muddy Monday on Monday 13th, instead I would like the children to come to school dressed in a Christmas jumper, t-shirt or dress so that we can record our performance. (See yesterday’s post named Year 2: Homework and Christmas Performance Information for more details). Also please remember book bags on Monday and Christmas cards if you wish.
Have a lovely weekend
