Year 2: Weekly Overview

This week the children have worked incredibly hard. We have continued looking at 3D shapes and their properties and we are becoming more confident at identifying them. In expressive arts, the children sketched fantastic pieces inspired by Paul Klee, Castle in the Sun. They were great! We have worked hard in our writing this week, describing characters from Cinderella. We also logged onto Hwb and used Jamboard for the first time to say which Welsh castle we would like to visit when we are older.
Next week, we will be celebrating the King’s Coronation. We will be making flags for us to wave during our celebrations. We will be following instructions to make salt dough crowns to help us remember this special occasion. We will also be learning about the foodbanks that King Charles has been working and helping, with the aim that we can help in some way!

We hope you have a lovely long weekend.

There will be no Muddy Monday as we will be returning on Tuesday so please remember your bookbags on Tuesday.
