Year 2: Weekly Overview

This week the children have enjoyed learning about minibeasts. We have created our own rhyming poems about minibeasts and we have learnt some of the names for them in Welsh. Today we completed a branching database where we had to put the correct minibeast in the correct place according to various questions. In maths we have continued with money, we have focussed on giving change this week!
Next week will be filled with activities that the children have requested for our last week together. They have come up with some great ideas and they cannot wait to get stuck in! They have asked for a bug party on Monday for our last Muddy Monday so we will be having a yummy cake and milkshake/juice (please let me know if there are any problems with this). The children also asked if they could dress in the colours of their favourite minibeast, they can if they wish too but this is not a requirement.
We will also be creating fact files about our favourite minibeasts and sketching our favourite ones too. There will also be a few fun games throughout the week too!
As we begin to wind down, we have kept hold of the book bags this week so there is no reading or spellings. Please feel free to read your own books if you wish!
Remember Muddy Monday and have a lovely weekend!
