This week the children have all worked incredibly hard. We have continued with telling the time and are getting more confident with reading the clock. We have done a lot of work on belonging and thinking about what communities we belong to. In our topic work we have looked at various jobs in the castle and wrote about which job we would apply for. We identified the skills we would need to be able to complete that job. We have also looked at the characters of Cinderella and we have used adjectives to describe them. The children came up with some really great words for this task!
Next week we will be looking at a Welsh artist called Gwynfor Roberts and we will be using his style of work to create our own masterpieces. We will be identifying materials and their uses. Finally we will also be celebrating values day too.
I must mention how proud we are that Year 2 have shown great caring and kindness this week when I asked them to think about volunteering for a special class job! We are lucky to have such thoughtful children.
Homework this week is your reading book and the ‘oo’ spellings. Please remember book bags and wellies on Monday ready for Muddy Monday.
Have a lovely weekend
