Year 2: Weekly Overview

This week we have worked hard on our writing. First, we became detectives trying to find the features of a diary entry. Then we started to write our own diaries pretending to be Samuel Pepys. In Muddy Monday, we finished our wattle and daub walls (which we have brought home today). In maths we counted in 2s and learnt the two times tables. We did very well with this task.
Next week we will be looking at odd and even numbers in maths. We will be finishing off our topic of The Great Fire of London and looking back at what we have learnt. We will be looking at the Easter story and towards the end of the week we will be making some tasty Easter treats.
Homework this week is reading books and spellings. Please remember to return your reading books on Monday and to come dressed suitably for Muddy Monday.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Thomas, Mrs Williams and Mrs Probin.
