Year 2: Weekly Overview

Well what a busy week we have had! We worked hard with the school council on Monday to tidy up the outdoor area. We had a great school trip on Tuesday hunting for minibeasts. In music, we have performed the Ugly Bug ball to our friends and given feedback on each other’s performances. In literacy, we have written a recount about our school trip and talked about what bugs we found. Today we have used tally charts and graphs on HWB. We have collected votes from everyone in our class regarding their favourite minibeasts. Then we put the data onto a graph to show the most and least popular.
Next week, to continue with our digital skills, we will be making a Minibeast animation on the iPads and we will be programming EARL the robot around a mat practising our coding skills. In Science, we will looking at the life cycle of a butterfly and in maths we will be revisiting addition but from a money perspective.
Please remember Muddy Monday and book bags on Monday. Also please make sure your child has a water bottle with them so they can drink plenty throughout the day.
Have a lovely weekend
