Year 2: Home learning update

Bore da pawb (for the last time this year!)
I hope that you have had a lovely start to the week and that you have been able to get outside in the garden to play!
Your final activities are as follows
1) Complete the sheet ‘ I am an amazing person’ this is something really important to think about because we spend a lot of time thinking about what is great about our friends and family but its not very often that we think about ourselves.

2) Write a letter to Mrs Burgess telling her all about yourself. You could tell her who is in your family, what you like doing in school, what you want to get better at next year and what you are looking forward to next year. (See Google Classroom for more information)

3) Have a go at one of the pages in the Maths booklet. I am not expecting you to complete all of it but please do try and dip into it over the summer holiday just to keep your brain working! I have also attached an English summer booklet that you can have a go at over the summer holidays if you wish as well. These do not need to be ‘handed in’ they are simply for you to use if you would like to.

A final message
It has been absolutely wonderful teaching you all this year, even if we haven’t managed to finish the year together.  You are a wonderful class to teach and the way that you all get on with each other is amazing! I will make sure that I catch up with you all in Year 3! I am super proud of each and everyone of you for the effort that you have put in and the resilience that you have shown. Have a wonderful summer holiday and stay safe!

I would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all parents and carers for everything that you have done this year. I know that Home Learning has been a strange and at times challenging task, but I really do appreciate all of the time and effort that you have invested in the pupils of Year 2. Thank you also for the support and cooperation that you have shown, not just during lockdown, but throughout the academic year. Enjoy a restful summer!

Best wishes,
Mrs Williams
