Year 1: Weekly Round Up

What a fantastic week we have had in Year 1! We’ve had lots of singing, Christmas craft and of course all the excitement of the Christmas Concert! I’m sure you will all agree that the children were absolutely amazing! I couldn’t be prouder of them. The children were beaming after each performance and rightly so. They’ve been working so so hard and it certainly paid off! Da iawn pawb!!!

Next week the children will be attending church on Monday morning (weather dependant) for a Christmas service. Christmas dinner will be on Wednesday and I hear rumour of a special visitor on Thursday! We’ll have to wait and see… Children are welcome to wear Christmas jumpers or non-uniform on both Wednesday and Thursday. We will also be finishing off any remaining Christmas craft and having a fun time to finish off our last week.

Please could I ask for children to come to school with a named plastic bag (a regular shopping bag is ideal) as children will be coming home with cards, calendars and all the lovely things we have been making over the Christmas period. If these could come in towards the start of the week that would be a great help as we can get them loaded up and ready to take home on Thursday. Could I also ask that reading books come back in to school and we will get these ready to come home again at the start of next term. Diolch

We hope you have a lovely weekend! Please do take care in this cold weather and we hope to see you all back again on Monday! The count down to the big day has truly begun!
