Year 1: Homework

Hello book bags have come home today. We can see in class the children are getting tired so they must be at home too especially after a busy day in school. If they would rather read a few pages each night rather than the whole book all in one go that is absolutely fine. As long as they have the opportunity to read little and often it all helps!
Homework this week is on topmarks and it follows on from our learning this week of number bonds to 10. We have been practising quick fire number bonds to 10 (I would say 4 and what makes 10 and they fire straight back with 6). We have also been working on recording our number bonds and working them out when there is a missing number.
If you type hit the button into google (it should then come straight up) and click on number bonds and the option to ‘make 10’ this is the game to play.
Also, if I could ask for you to continue practising putting coats, shoes and wellies on independently and zipping our coats up that would be great. For Muddy Monday if they have an all in one could you please practise putting these on independently too. We can see the children are certainly finding some tasks easier now with all this practise so thank you very much.
