Reception: Weekly roundup!

It has been lovely being back in school with our friends this week.
We have been enjoying the sunshine and making the most of being outside in the fresh air on the bikes and in welly Wednesday. Thank you to everyone who has bought things in for our school garden. We have been busy up there making it tidy and planting. #healthy, confident individuals.
Next week, if all children can bring in a large round stone (about the size of an adult fist) then we will be painting some for the prayer garden.
We have loved planting our sunflowers and are eagerly awaiting the first shoots to pop up! We have sequenced the life cycle of a sunflower and used cubes to measure different heights of sunflowers. We have also made some colourful sunflower collages. #ambitious, capable learners.
We have also enjoyed the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 and thought about the importance of sharing. #ethical, informed citizens.
Next week is a very short week with Bank Holiday Monday and 2 training days on Thurs and Friday. Welly Wednesday will be as normal. We look forward to thinking about time in maths and enjoying some new phonics games to help us secure our letter knowledge.
Have a great Bank Holiday weekend everyone!
