Reception: Weekly round up!

We have had a great first week back, getting stuck into our Seaside topic. We have started to create some beautiful seaside pictures using our footprints and will collage them next! We have loved playing in our Seaside corner, looking at shells, counting fish and going surfing.
We loved releasing our butterflies in the garden and enjoyed our Welly Wednesday in the sunshine.
Children will be coming home with 2 pieces of work today, to show how clever they are with their writing and maths. We hope you are as proud of them as we are! Books will be sent home at the end of term. I look forward to talking to parents next week in our telephone Parents Evenings on Monday and Tuesday.
Next week, will be a very exciting ‘Olympic Week!’ Please come dressed in trainers and sportswear each day, as we will be doing different events throughout the week.
We will be learning about Japan and the different customs of the country. We will design and make our own Olympic T-shirt’s, torches and flags! We just can’t wait!
If the weather is still nice and hot next week, please could children wear a sun hat and sun cream for school as we will be outside lots!
Have a fantastic weekend everyone. Well done for working hard and having fun this week.
