Reception: Weekly round up!

Another week has flown by in Reception class. It’s been a hot one but we have still managed to have fun and learn lots.
The water tray and paddling pool have been a real hit in this weather to help us stay cool. 🌊💧
We enjoyed playing bingo to learn the Welsh names for sea creatures. We also had fun with Liam learning a new game called Botcha. We had a lovely time listening to some of our Year 4 friends who came to read us some stories. Thank you Librarians! 📖
We ended the week learning the ‘Yellow Submarine’ song and playing instruments in the band. 🎶🎶 It was lots of fun!
Next week, we will be thinking about how we can look after our oceans. We will be looking at materials that float and sink. In Maths we will look at shapes and in phonics we are learning the ‘oo’ sound.
Please could children wear PE kits on Tues instead of Thurs as we have another PE session with Liam on this day.
Have a great weekend everyone and stay cool!
