Reception: The week ahead!

Outlook-lvc3f1ss.jpg
We are looking forward to another week in Reception, before we break up for you all to have a well deserved rest for half term on Friday!😊

This week, we will be making a story map of The Hungry Caterpillar, now that we know the story really well!
We also can’t wait to sample some of the yummy foods the Hungry Caterpillar ate in the story. I wonder which will be your favourite? We will be making a pictograph to show which the class enjoyed the most. A letter has been sent home in your homework bags to tell you which foods we will try, so please let us know if you have any queries by tomorrow (Monday 24th).
We will also be making some repeating patterns on caterpillars and butterflies to make some stylish headwear!
Here is a song about being unique, just like a butterfly, that we have been enjoying in class, you might want to try it at home too!
Whether you are thoughtful, brave, or even grouchy like Oscar, celebrate all the things that make you special as Will.i.am sings \”What I Am.\” For more fun games and videos for your preschooler in a safe, child-friendly environment, visit us at www.sesamestreet.org Sesame Street is a production of Sesame Workshop, a nonprofit …

PE will be on Tuesday and Welly Wednesday as normal this week, so please come dressed to get sporty and muddy!! Even if it rains, we will still exercise inside and will take advantage of the rain for our mudpies in the garden.
I wonder if our class caterpillars have grown anymore over the weekend? We have named them Jeff, Bob, Cookie, Daisy and Marshmallow (all chosen by the children!!).  It’s hard to tell them apart as they are all very similar. They are getting very hairy and spikey now!
