We have been celebrating the Year of the Dragon🐉 for Chinese New Year this week by learning all about Chinese New Year customs and creating fantastic dragon art. We read a lovely story ‘Lanterns and Firecrackers’ and have been looking how to write Chinese numbers and had messy fun practicing them in shaving foam, with play dough and on the interactive whiteboard. We even sampled prawn crackers, noodles and egg fried rice while listening to Chinese music today!
We are celebrating Welsh Week next week and we will be having our school Eisteddfod on Friday 1st March. Children are welcome to come to school dressed in traditional Welsh costume, Wales rugby/football shirts or the colours of the Welsh flag on this day.
