This week we have enjoyed reading and singing about Jasper’s Beanstalk and took inspiration from this to plant our own beans 🌱 during a sunny Welly Wednesday. It was great getting out into the fresh air. We talked about what plants need to grow and we are waiting eagerly for shoots to appear.
As part of our topic launch, we had a very royal special visitor to our classroom……..King Charles!!!!👑 He brought us a lovely book to read ‘King Charles lll Colourful Coronation’. We have loved starting to talk about the Coronation.
We have been thinking about the ‘S’ sound too and what words we could think of beginning with this sound. ‘Sausages’ was very popular!
Next week we will be continuing with Coronation activities and we are busy creating a piece of art-work as part of our celebrations. Our Coronation party is next Friday 5th May and children are welcome to come into school wearing red, white and blue on that day.
We are excited to be going on our school trip to Park Hall Farm too on Thursday.
We hope you have a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend and we will see you Tuesday.
