News: Hello

Hello everyone,
I wanted to say a few “thanks”.
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone for supporting home learning, it is lovely seeing the work children are completing and we really appreciate the effort of both parents and children. We understand fully if you are not managing to get through everything and all we want is for you all to stay healthy.
I would like to thank the teachers and teaching assistants for the support and hard work they are putting into home learning too, it is new for everyone and we have all been learning very fast!
A huge thank you to our caretaker and cleaner who have worked so hard to make sure St Mary’s is clean and safe for our key worker pupils and also, to our secretary who works tirelessly to ensure everyone stays in touch and looks after everyone.
Some of you may have noticed scaffolding around the school, we are having a new “front” and we look forward to it being completed for you all to see when we return.
For this reason we are having to close St Mary’s today for half term. However, Ruabon High School have very kindly agreed to “house” us in their building in order for us to continue to care for our key worker children. A big thank you to Mrs Ferron Evans and her team for this.
I’m sure many of you have heard that schools in Wales will not open June 1st. As yet Welsh Government have not stated a date for a return. We are very much assured they will only begin a phased return when it is safe to do so. As soon as we know more information we will inform you all immediately.
In the mean time it is half term holiday next week, teachers will not be setting work to complete, instead we want you all to relax and have fun safely.
We miss you all and will hopefully see you soon.
Enjoy your holiday at home.
Stay safe
Mrs Booth
